Editorial Standards

StartupFox publishes news and analysis on the Indian startup ecosystem. This page describes how we report, verify, correct and disclose. It is maintained by the editor, Sabyasachi Chandra, and was last updated on 26 September 2026.

Sourcing & verification

Funding, financial and corporate facts are attributed to identifiable sources: company announcements, regulatory and exchange filings (RoC/MCA, NSE/BSE), investor disclosures, or named coverage by credible outlets. Company-stated figures are labelled as such ("the company says", "reported"). Figures on our company pages carry a source link and a confidence label — filed for registry or exchange filings, confirmed for direct announcements, reported for credible secondary reporting. Where sources conflict, we say so on the page rather than picking silently.

Corrections policy

We correct errors quickly and visibly. Corrections to what an article says update it with a note and refresh its modified date; changes that do not touch the text — how a story is placed on the homepage, its tags, its images — never change its date. When a developing story changes materially after publication — for example, a funding round closing on different terms than first reported — we update the original article rather than publishing a near-duplicate. To request a correction, email editorial@startupfox.in or use the contact page; we aim to respond within 48 hours.

Company & founder directory

Our company index and founder index are compiled by the StartupFox desk from the same sources as our reporting. Every funding round listed on a company page links to its source where one exists. Founder pages start from company records and our coverage; founders can verify their page through LinkedIn sign-in, after which it carries a verified mark and they can add their photo and headline. Anyone can request a correction to a directory entry using the address above.

AI assistance disclosure

StartupFox uses AI tools to assist with research, drafting and data compilation. Every published article and company-page data point passes through human editorial review, bylines name the people accountable for each piece, and responsibility for accuracy rests with our editorial desk, not the tools.

Ethics & independence

Editorial coverage is independent of advertising. Sponsored placements are hand-reviewed, clearly labelled "Sponsored", carry rel="sponsored" on their links, and are never written by the editorial desk as news. We do not accept payment for coverage, and we disclose relationships that could reasonably bear on a story.

Ownership & funding

StartupFox is published by Belogg Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Bengaluru, India. StartupFox is funded by advertising sold directly to advertisers and through Google AdSense. Advertisers have no influence over editorial decisions. Sponsored content, when it appears, is labelled as such. The editorial team, ownership and contact details are on our masthead.
