Karta AI Raises $3M to Handle the Customer Calls That Need More Than One Answer

Sabyasachi Chandra

$3 million seed led by PeerCapital and Cedar Hill Capital, with Wyser VC, CDM Capital and Seedstars participating.

Karta AI handles inbound calls at banks, lenders, fintechs and insurers, focusing on complex queries that need several systems and often contain more than one request.

It says it handles about 2 million conversations a month in 25-plus languages and resolves around 70% of borrower queries end to end, cutting cost per query by about half.

The founders are former Razorpay executives. The company has 10 to 12 paying customers, including PhonePe, Bajaj and Aavas, which likely concentrates its volume in a few large accounts.

The field is crowded, with Desible.ai, Navana.ai, Rezolv and Gnani.ai all funded. Karta's case rests on resolving hard inbound calls well and handing the rest to humans cleanly.
