Bengaluru-based deep-tech startup BioCompute is shutting down local operations and relocating to San Francisco.

The company, building DNA data storage hardware, raised over ₹5 crore and successfully built an end-to-end prototype in India.

Founder Anagha Rajesh cited a lack of risk appetite and patient capital in the Indian ecosystem as the primary reasons for the move.
