Shiv Ratan Agarwal, Founder and Chairman of Bikaji Foods, has passed away at the age of 74 in Chennai.
Agarwal separated from the Haldiram family business in the 1980s to build an independent brand, launching Bikaji in 1993.
Under his leadership, the company scaled into an organized FMCG giant with a current market capitalization exceeding Rs 17,200 crore.
The company will now lean on its existing board and succession plans to manage operations and maintain its massive domestic and international distribution.
