Benne has raised ₹35 crore (~$3.7 million) in a pre-Series A round led by Ranjan Pai's Claypond Capital, which invested ₹28.75 crore for an 8.21 percent stake.
The Mumbai dosa chain, founded in 2024 by Akhil Iyer and Shriya Narayan, grew through social media and celebrity visits to around three outlets and a reported ₹1 crore in monthly revenue.
The round was struck at an estimated ₹364 crore (~$38.3 million) post-money valuation, a steep multiple on a three-outlet chain.
The valuation is a third-party estimate and the revenue figure is unaudited; Benne has not disclosed audited financials, and the multiple underwrites an expansion it has not yet built.
