UniqYou Raises ₹15.8 Crore Months After Founding, and the Money Goes Into Inventory

Sabyasachi Chandra

₹15.8 crore co-led by Arkam Ventures and Antler at a post-money valuation of roughly ₹64 crore, above the ₹12 crore the company was reported to be seeking in June.

The two leads took 22.89 percent between them, and the round is close to a quarter of the company, which is heavy dilution for a first institutional cheque.

Filings say the money goes to working capital and general corporate purposes. In apparel that means inventory, which is a more candid description than most funding announcements offer.

The angels have run this problem before: Raveen Sastry co-founded Myntra, Nandita Sinha was its chief executive, and Chaitanya Ramalingegowda and Ankit Garg co-founded Wakefit.

UniqYou's founders have not been publicly named, and no revenue, gross margin or sell-through figures have been disclosed.
