The Stack Raises ₹21.5 Crore on a Bet That Indians Will Pay More for Better Magnesium

Sabyasachi Chandra

₹21.5 crore seed co-led by Sauce, OTP Ventures and Huddle Ventures, about four times the ₹5.5 crore pre-seed it raised in January.

The Stack sells five sleep and gut supplements built on named, clinically studied ingredients, such as Balchem's magnesium bisglycinate rather than cheaper magnesium oxide.

One in three customers reorders within six months, many prepay for six to 12 months, and the top 10% of customers bring in 30% of revenue. It reports fivefold growth in six months.

Supplements in India are regulated as food, so proving that a product works is not required before sale. Evidence and transparent sourcing are a choice, and that choice is the brand.

Transparency can be copied by larger rivals such as HealthKart and OZiva. The defence is the loyal core of repeat customers, and a wider range will test whether the discipline holds.
