Svatantra Microfin completed its legal merger with Chaitanya India Fin Credit following NCLT approval.
The combined entity is now India's second-largest NBFC-MFI with an AUM of ₹22,000 crore.
The microfinance powerhouse operates 2,200 branches across 20 states with 25,000 employees.
The group now serves 5 million underbanked customers and has disbursed ₹70,000 crore since its inception.
The merger allows Svatantra to aggressively scale both its microcredit and secured housing finance portfolios.
