Scooter Raises ₹1.5 Crore to Test Salespeople on Selling, Not on Selling Themselves

Candidates are assessed through recorded sales role-plays, and managers receive a shortlist of three to five, watching assessment clips before they see any CV.

A conventional interview tests how well a candidate sells themselves to a willing listener, the easiest sale they will ever make. Scenario assessments test how they handle a buyer who pushes back.

Showing performance before credentials guards against managers anchoring on employer and college names, which is where co-founder Saumya Seth's behavioural science background shapes the product.
